Sebastian, Florida is located in Indian River County south of Melbourne and just north of Vero Beach in an area known as the Treasure Coast. It is the home of Pelican Island, the first designated wildlife refuge in the United States, a Millennium City, and a Tree City USA. Population is approximately 20,000. The City has seen rapid growth in the past several years and it is anticipated to continue.
Sebastian has beautiful parks, great public and private schools, a breath taking view of the intra-coastal waterway in the Indian River Lagoon and is close proximity to Atlantic beaches. Year round average temperature is 73.4 degrees. There are shops and restaurants along the river's edge. Sebastian hosts several City festivals each year, monthly arts and crafts shows, concerts in the park, a municipal golf course and an airport that is know for great sky diving.
